our story

Wyestyles was founded in October 2006, by Helen Ball and her husband, Mike.

The pair were passionate about good quality clothing and fashionable designs, so twelve years ago they began buying womenswear to sell on the exciting new website 'eBay' (which had been founded just a year before!)

Their customers couldn't get enough of the products the couple listed and praised the personal service they received from the business.

As their home filled with endless rails of beautiful garments, they decided to branch out and open a retail store. In 2008, Wyestyles at the Hop Pocket became a reality.

The Hop Pocket is a series of agricultural buildings, barns and hop kilns, which became an independent shopping village in 1988. This big, interesting space was perfect for Wyestyles, as they could display the beautiful clothes to sell to the public and still store items to be shipped around the world via the eBay store.

Over the years, Wyestyles has evolved to bring it's customers a diverse shopping experience, now selling womenswear, menswear, baby items, underwear and accessories. It is one of very few totally independent retailers in the area, and prides itself on offering an utterly different experience than you will find on the High Street. With free parking, space to move around, fuss-free displays and a friendly team of sales associates who are knowledgeable about the collections, who take the time to help you find the perfect outfit.

Mike is incredibly proud of the business as it stands today, having survived a recession, the ebbs of the local rural economy, the ever-changing fashion market and Helen's sad passing in 2016. We really hope you love our brand as much as we do, and we're looking forward to welcoming you to the shop very soon indeed.
